Congratulations to all the teams that have recently tested and passed the therapy dog test. However you can not go on a visit until all of the following steps are completed. Welcome to the Paws2Care family! You will find this group full of giving, selfless individuals that will help guide and support you as you and your dog continue into the much needed and loved therapy dog work.
This page will guide you through the next phase in becoming a certified therapy dog team with Paws2Care.
Please complete the following Information Form. This information allows us to better target visit requests to our teams according to their dog’s preferences, team’s location as well as accurately pull from our group database should a specific request comes to us. Of course at any time you can go to the paws2care.net for a list of all visits on the calendar of events. Within each event there is a link that provides more details as well as the contact email needed for each visit.

️The next steps are for you and your dog to successfully pass your evaluations which will consist of 3-4 visits. Please remember to bring your evaluation sheets to each evaluation. All of our evaluators are incredibly helpful and supportive in guiding you and your dog to be the best therapy team possible. Our evaluators all have a gift in bringing out the best in YOU which is all your dog needs you to be in order to love this work and support them.
️Now that your evaluations are complete, just a reminder you will not be able to go on a visit until you receive your ID card & Red Heart for your dog. Now that your paperwork is completed and signed you must send your paperwork and fees in one of the following manners to Alliance of Therapy Dogs (also kown as ATD) via e-mail office@therapydogs.com then you must call the office and pay fees over phone or USPS to Alliance of Therapy Dogs P.O. Box 20227 Cheyenne, WY 82003 or Overnight to 1919 Morrie Ave. Cheyenne, WY 82003 Once ATD has received your paperwork and all fees they will review/process your paperwork you will then receive via USPS your RED HEART from ATD and your ID CARD with your name and your dog’s name printed on the ID card. On every visit you must have your red heart attached to your dog and your ID card.

Thank you again for time and energy in volunteering as a therapy dog team. This is incredibly rewarding work. Seeing someone’s spirits lifted by your dog is a blessing unlike any other.
